Bel Patra, also known as Bilva Patra, is the sacred three-part leaf of the bael (wood apple) tree, revered in Lord Shiva's worship. Each Bel leaf has three leaflets, symbolizing Lord Shiva's three eyes and the Hindu Trinity Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. According to the scriptures, the three leaves of bel patra also represent the three eyes of Lord Shiva.

In Hindu tradition, Bel Patra is especially associated with Lord Shiva and is considered one of the most auspicious offerings in Shiva worship. Devotees offer fresh Bel leaves during prayers, particularly on Mondays and during festivals such as Mahashivaratri. The three leaflets of the leaf are believed to symbolize Lord Shiva's three eyes, as well as important spiritual concepts such as creation, preservation, and destruction. Offering Bel Patra is believed to bring peace, prosperity, and divine blessings.
